Description
Looking for an activity or sport for your kids during the school holidays? Do they love MTB or want to get into it? This is the perfect way to get your kids out in nature while also learning essential MTB skills.
Skill Requirements
All riders must at least be capable of:
- Confidently riding a bike on smooth dirt surfaces.
- Stopping a bike using hand brakes without placing feet on the ground
- Be prepared to ride up hills.
What to Expect
We provide a structured program involving games, drills and trail riding. We take plenty of snack breaks and our focus is on safety and fun.
We have spots available for children aged 8-15.
It is suitable for beginner or intermediate riders. It will help your child develop the skills needed for being a safe and confident rider, whether they prefer downhill, enduro or XC trails! Most of all it will be about having fun, being outdoors and exercising in a safe and fun environment.
Skills covered include:
- Body position
- Direction control – e.g Cornering
- Climbing efficiency
- Braking efficiency
- Roll downs
- Riding over obstacles (e.g rocks + roots)
- Descending + absorbing
- Balance
- Front + Rear wheel lifts
Suitable for girls ages 8 and up.
Parents, please note!
Please send your kids with a decent MTB bike – it must have front suspension, disc brakes and good working gears and brakes. You must also make sure your child has a decent helmet that fits correctly, and they will need to bring water + food and a back pack to carry their items in.
